As women wield greater economic power and harness their influence to lead change, their generosity is rapidly transforming the philanthropic landscape. All In, All Rise, a symposium organized by the Women’s Philanthropy Institute (WPI) at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, will examine how women’s involvement in philanthropy strengthens communities, encourages greater strategic giving, and builds a more diverse network of engaged citizens. The event will be held March 28–29, 2023, at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile, 540 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago.
The WPI symposium is the only gathering of its kind that focuses exclusively on the broad landscape of women and philanthropy. All In, All Rise will convene a wide array of speakers and attendees from across the philanthropic sector and represent diverse backgrounds and experiences. Connecting the dots between research and practice, the symposium will facilitate reflective and thought-provoking conversations about big ideas like the intersections of gender, philanthropy, equity, and impact.
“As we face complex challenges related to our world’s inequities, women’s generosity is a catalyst for change,” said Jeannie Sager, director of the Women’s Philanthropy Institute at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. “In line with our vision to empower women to use their wealth and influence to uplift others, All In, All Rise will feature timely and practical expert-led discussions designed to unleash the full potential of women’s philanthropy.”
“The Symposium will convene those who are passionate about gender equity and developing an inclusive philanthropic sector,” said Adrienne Penta, executive director of the Center for Women & Wealth at Brown Brothers Harriman and 2023 Symposium Co-Chair. “Grounded in research from the Women’s Philanthropy Institute, we’ll explore the diverse ways women engage with philanthropy to uncover promising solutions for the betterment of all.”
