September 30, 2009, The Press Tribune Gold Country News — While much news these days is still about local businesses struggling to keep their doors open, a national organization that has been around for decades wants to help. SCORE, a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide wants to get the word out in Placer County. As a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Sacramento chapter servicing four counties is poised with about 65 business counselors ready to advise those people who wish to start their own business as well as those who just need some advice as to how to keep their doors open.
