The deadline for nominations for the 2014 Fundraising Professionals of the Year Awards is nearly upon us … as in Monday!
For the 2011 Fundraising Professionals of the Year Awards, FundRaising Success honored six fundraisers as Fundraising Stars for their tremendous fundraising accomplishments in 2010.

With the 2014 FundRaising Success Fundraising Professionals of the Year Awards submission period open, we take a look back at some past winners. Here are the 2010 Fundraising Stars.
FundRaising Success hosts the Fundraising Professionals of the Year Awards to acknowledge and honor the people who raise the money that keep nonprofits afloat. Sure, each year we are only able to honor a miniscule percentage of the people in the field, but we feel that each of our honorees represents the ideals of the profession.
The 2012 FundRaising Success Fundraising Professionals of the Year Awards Lifetime Achievement honoree was Geoff Peters, president of CDR Fundraising Group.
In 2008, FundRaising Success decided to let the nominations dictate the categories best suited for the Fundraising Professionals of the Year Awards. When it was all said and done, not only were individual fundraisers honored, but so were organizations, a blog and a conference — headlined by 2008 Fundraiser of the Year Michelle Speas, then vice president of development and external relations at Old Salem Museums & Gardens.
In the 2011 FundRaising Success Fundraising Professionals of the Year awards, six young fundraisers were honored as Rising Stars: Paige Cauthron of Covenant House Florida, Ben Gonsher of Southern NCSY, Denni Hill Peebles of Centers for Exceptional Children, Josie Premzell of Peel Heritage Complex, Aliza Temeles of MKDM and Christina Treat of Happy Hands Education Center Inc.
In 2007, the annual FundRaising Success Fundraising Professionals of the Year Awards tweaked the categories to include Fundraising Professional of the Year, Lifetime Achievement (30+ years in fundraising), Top Women, Top Men and Rising Stars (five years or fewer in fundraising).
