Convio announced the winners of its fifth annual Innovator Awards as revealed at a ceremony today at the Convio Summit, the company’s annual conference where more than 1000 nonprofit clients, partners and industry thought leaders gather as a community to share common experiences and effective strategies for nonprofits. The Innovator Awards recognize clients who have shown innovation and achievement through the use of Convio’s online software and services to better engage supporters to help fulfill their missions.
This year, for this first time, voters of the 2010 Getting Attention Nonprofit Tagline Awards selected program, fundraising and special event tagline award winners, in addition to the strongest organizational taglines. The addition of these three new tagline types gave more organizations a chance to showcase their best efforts to engage their target audiences.
The 17 winners were selected from 70 finalists identified by our expert panel of judges. The finalists were drawn from 2,700 nonprofit taglines entered in the 2010 program.

Blackbaud announced that its flagship fundraising solution, The Raiser’s Edge®, has been honored with its third User Satisfaction Award in the 2010 Donor and Member Management Solution Software Survey conducted by Campbell Rinker. During June and July, more than 2,800 users of nonprofit software and online solutions for donor and member management, mass communications, and fundraising were surveyed online. The survey gathers information on user satisfaction, pricing preferences, purchasing habits, and organizational scope.

Blackbaud ranked 121, with 2009 software and services revenue of $302.6 million and corporate revenue of $309.3 million. The ranking positioned Blackbaud as the largest provider of nonprofit software on the Software 500 list.
The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, in Chicago, has announced the 23 recipients of its 2010 MacArthur Fellowships. Commonly referred to as the "genius awards," the fellowships single out individuals from disparate disciplines who show creativity, originality, and the promise for continued innovative work.
welve women and 11 men won this year's awards; they range in age from 30 to 72. Each fellow receives $500,000 over five years, bestowed with no strings attached. Of the group announced today, 16 fellows work at academic institutions or other nonprofit organizations.

The Toronto Community Foundation is the 2010 recipient of the Greater Toronto Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals' "Outstanding Foundation" award. The award is one of seven given out by AFP every year.
