A group that served as guardians of the Alamo for more than a century before the state of Texas announced it was taking over day-to-day management of the historic site is suing for control of more than 30,000 books and artifacts at its library. The Daughters of the Republic of Texas filed suit Monday against the Texas General Land Office, alleging the agency "unilaterally declared" the state owner of the organization's private library collection.

(Press release, March 19, 2015) — Originally founded as Variety Children's Hospital in 1950, Miami Children's Hospital unveiled a logo featuring its new Nicklaus Children's Hospital name, during a press conference with golf icon Jack Nicklaus and his wife Barbara. The new name is effective March 20, on the hospital's 65th anniversary. In addition, the hospital's eight outpatient centers will also assume the Nicklaus name.
