Kohl's Department Stores announced the launch of the "Love to Give, Happy to Save" Facebook contest where customers can help decide how to allocate $500,000 from Kohl's to Feeding America and Toys for Tots.
During the contest, 600 participants will win gift cards and also give $500 from Kohl's to the organizations, with the chance to win an additional $2,500 gift card and allocate a $25,000 donation to either charity.
The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), an international nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring young people from low-income communities to stay in school and to recognize business opportunities, announced its World Series of Innovation, presented by Microsoft, was selected as a featured event for the 2011 Global Entrepreneurship Week from Nov. 14-20.

Toyota is set to deliver the first three vehicles to winners of its “100 Cars for Good” program. 100 Cars for Good is a major new philanthropic program from Toyota that is awarding 100 vehicles to 100 nonprofit organizations over the course of 100 days, based on votes from the public.
Toyota kicks off the vehicle deliveries by awarding vehicles to representatives of the Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center, Laura Recovery Center for Missing Children and Sol Collective.
Last week, Southwest Airlines announced its first set of 10 winners for the 1,600 ticket giveaway in honor of Southwest’s 40th anniversary to spread the LUV even further to the communities we serve. ChildFund International, a child sponsorship charity that works in 31 countries, faced those questions and came up with a solution that appealed to some of its biggest supporters.
So the charity’s “Experience of a Lifetime” contest, which ends July 31, will give one person the chance to travel and meet the child he or she sponsors through ChildFund’s programs.

Buffalo Trace Distillery wants to give a piece of history to charities. It’s offering nonprofits 174 bottles of Kentucky straight bourbon aged for 11 years in its Millennium Barrel and bottled on Dec. 31, 1999.
Nonprofits have until midnight New York time tonight, July 26, to request a bottle of Millennium bourbon. If chosen, organizations must auction it off for charity by Dec. 31. More than 150 charities have signed up, and Kris Comstock, Buffalo Trace’s brand manager, said the bottles could fetch bids of $1,000 each or more.
