Blackbaud announced the winners of its first ever Impact Awards. The winners were honored at bbcon, Blackbaud’s Conference for Nonprofits, held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Md.
Sixty-eight community organizations in 41 countries around the world were awarded a total of $10.5 million in grants from The Coca-Cola Foundation, the global philanthropic arm of The Coca-Cola Co., during the second quarter of 2012. These grants support the foundation's global priority areas, including $3.2 million for active, healthy living; $2.9 million for water stewardship; $780,000 for community recycling; $630,000 for education; and $3 million for other local priorities, such as youth development, community improvement, economic development and environmental responsibility.
Blackbaud announced the availability of Social Score, a new social media data enrichment service that provides organizations insight into their supporters' social media activities and influence.
Social Score service provides nonprofits analysis and categorization of donors, volunteers, peer fundraisers and other constituents by measuring their level of influence and reach through publicly-available social media activities.
In April, Independence Blue Cross (IBC) marked the company's fifth-year presenting sponsorship of Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes, the American Diabetes Association's community fundraising event, by hosting a corporate kick off breakfast for the region's business leaders.
Blackbaud announced the availability of two new services for nonprofit prospect researchers: Dossiers on Demand and NOZA Exact Match Constituent Screenings. The services are the latest offerings from Target Analytics, a Blackbaud company, which offers solutions for donor acquisition, prospect research, donor benchmarking, custom modeling, and data enrichment services to more than 6,000 nonprofits.
The Foundation for Health Coverage Education (FHCE) announced that it has been awarded two grants totaling $60,000 from the Health Coverage Foundation. The grants will aid in updating FHCE’s U.S. Uninsured Help Line 800-234-1317 and website, www.CoverageForAll.org, and strengthen continued media efforts to educate uninsured Americans about their health coverage options. They will also enhance a collaborative outreach effort with the American Lung Association to assist uninsured lung disease sufferers with navigating the complex health coverage system.
Charity Dynamics, a provider of comprehensive online marketing and fundraising solutions for nonprofits, announced that nonprofit organizations across the country have now raised more than $100 million directly through the company’s Boundless Fundraising solution since it first launched less than three years ago.
Boundless Fundraising is a suite of online fundraising applications that enable participants in nonprofit special events to extend their fundraising efforts through Facebook, email and mobile devices. More than 75 U.S. charities currently use the applications as part of their overall event marketing and fundraising strategy.
