The 2012 FundRaising Success Fundraising Professionals of the Year Awards Lifetime Achievement honoree was Geoff Peters, president of CDR Fundraising Group.
Direct-response marketing agencies Russ Reid and SCA Direct, which both specialize in helping nonprofit organizations raise funds, have merged. The new entity, called Russ Reid, represents some of the best-known charities in North America. Russ Reid offices are in Pasadena, Calif., and Toronto, while SCA Direct is headquartered in Fairfax, Va., a suburb of Washington, D.C.
"Overall, we saw some very strong but very traditional campaigns — very few major risks or outside-the-box approaches," judge Dane Grams said. "Was this a wise choice? It seems like it was, as most of the results we reviewed were incredibly strong."
Announcing the 2012 Multichannel Campaigns of the Year: People for the American Way and Christian Appalachian Projects, along with Northeast Animal Shelter and Central Park Conservancy.
