It was a big year for the Gold Awards, folks! 2010 marked the year with the largest number of entries to date. All told, the 108 submissions represented 15 nonprofit organizations and 30 agencies. We're thrilled, and want to say congratulations to the winners and thank you to everyone who participated.
Safeway Inc. and The Safeway Foundation announced that they raised $10.7 million in April during the company's annual Support for People with Disabilities Campaign and pledged to continue its efforts to support two of the most prominent organizations that assist people with disabilities: Easter Seals and Special Olympics.
CHICAGO, July 14, 2009 — The CVS Caremark Charitable Trust announced a $300,000 grant to Easter Seals to advance evidence-based autism services for young children nationwide. The grant, made possible through the CVS Caremark All Kids Can Program(TM), is in response to families' need for greater access to autism services as reflected in key findings of Easter Seals' recent Living with Autism Study.* These funds enhance nearly $6 million already provided to Easter Seals through the All Kids Can Program in which Easter Seals is a national partner.

WOONSOCKET, R.I., April 30, 2009 — CVS Caremark announced today that $4.2 million in grants have been awarded to organizations supporting children with disabilities and those who are under-insured or uninsured. Ninety-two organizations from around the country have received the grants awarded through its private foundation, the CVS Caremark Charitable Trust, and the CVS Caremark All Kids Can program.
