Super Tuesday results are in. Candidates and prognosticators are busy spinning the results. The candidates, regardless of where they may fall and what their futures may hold, have one thing in common: enthusiasm.
They show this enthusiasm, much like a coach, to inspire their teams to stick with them and to motivate others to join them.
Enthusiasm is also key in fundraising. And it is something that you can share, no matter your personality type.
Top-notch volunteers and fundraising staff are hard to come by these days. So are donors. Winners in all these categories want to see success—they want to be a part of a winning team. They want to make a difference—to change, transform and save lives. And they would like to have fun along the way. Along the journey to achieving the goal, they will need the assurance and encouragement that success is likely.
Fundraising is serious work. It is a high calling. But that doesn’t mean it needs to be somber—it needs to be fun with celebrations along the way.
Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote: “Enthusiasm is one of the most powerful engines of success. When you do a thing, do it with all your might. Put your whole soul into it. Stamp it with your own personality. Be active, be energetic, be enthusiastic and faithful, and you will accomplish your object. Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
Have the right plan. Secure the right people to accomplish the plan. Then implement the plan with great enthusiasm, building confidence and momentum along the way to success!
