The weather is starting to get “nice” in many parts of the country, and do you know what that means? Well, in my city—Atlanta—that means if you are driving on Saturday or Sunday, you better be prepared for slower traffic on side roads due to fundraising walks and runs, and bike events for nonprofits.
These events are successful for the charities and the participants—even all the people who see the crowds on the roads are part of the experiences.
While I know most large nonprofits have an annual calendar of events mapped out well in advance, I also know that I have just as many readers of my blog who are small and medium nonprofits that might still be thinking through options for community events this year. If you are reading this blog and fall into this category, I have found an amazing resource for you.
The folks over at MobileCause have compiled a list of 57 fundraising event ideas. They’ve even done some legwork for you and included a list of things you will need and/or should think about when considering each of the ideas.
They’ve got everything from raffles to battles of the bands to game-night fundraisers. Plus, if you are looking for event fundraising ideas that fall into specific categories, they’ve organized it that way as well.
