Sweet summer. The days are long, the corn is sweet and the weather is perfect. (OK, so maybe it's sweltering where you are ‚ it sure is where I am — but let's pretend.) Long gone are thoughts of the winter storms, frigid temps and below-zero wind chill factors that plague us in, say, January.

While most of America is sipping lemonade, we here at FS might as well be drinking hot chocolate. Yup, it's that time of year when our thoughts turn to January and a new year full of fresh topics for the magazine.
