On November 13, the Internet Society and Public Interest Registry announced that Ethos Capital is acquiring all of its assets. This is groundbreaking to the nonprofit sector because if the $1.135 billion sale goes through, every .ORG domain, primarily owned by nonprofits, will be owned by this private equity firm.
