Scott Wehrlin, CSP, CFPS, is the VP of risk management at People, Inc. He received his Industrial Risk Management/Fire Safety Engineering Degree from Eastern Kentucky University. Since graduating, Scott has remained an active member of the National Fire Protection Association and earned his Certified Fire Protection Specialist designation in 2005. Scott obtained his Certified Safety Professional designation in March of 2007 and has been a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers – Western New York Chapter since 2005. As a safety consultant in the insurance industry, Scott serviced both small and mid-markets accounts. He has worked extensively in developing workplace safety and health programs as well with property risk management businesses. Scott has served the Western New York Community as a volunteer fireman and as an emergency medical technician since 1989. Served most recently as chief (2017-2019).
